Softly Does it Saturday.

I woke this morning not feeling the best, I think probably a migraine as I also felt a bit nausea which lasted most of the day.  It was very foggy this morning so it wouldn't have been the nicest to go for a walk in anyway.  I've had a very quiet day instead and spent it gently sewing and reading in the sunshine which appeared once the fog had cleared.    By late afternoon I felt bright enough to go for a walk. The sky was still a glorious blue.

Decisions - which way to go.

Across the cliff top.

So beautiful.

The farmer has been making the most of the wonderful day and has been ploughing his fields.

Down at the bay I sat quietly for a while just listening to the waves....quiet has been the over riding theme of the day...

I finished my little rag doll

I used an old vintage hanky to make her pantaloons.  I haven't decided yet whether to gather the legs in.

Her apron is reversible.

With hair and her dress on.

The other side of the apron.  I may redo her hair...it is a bit thicker than I realised.

I took her out in the garden.  She is a real nature girl.

Daisy is her name.

I received a lovely phone call from my neighbour last night telling me how much she loved the little doll I gave her.  She has named her Betsy and was thrilled with her, which absolutely delighted me.

Stay Safe and Well.

  1. Just thinking, seeing you work...reminds me of one of my friends, Primmy Chorley and her daughter Jessie Chorleys' work...
