Monday,and a bit of a Moan.

It was overcast when I set out for my walk this morning and a little breezy, but not too bad.

The fields have been very finely worked over now, ready for planting

It is amazing what a difference to how it was just a few days ago.

When I arrived down at the bay this morning the first thing I saw was this shop.

The sea was choppier today.

Always different.

It has been a lovely warm day today and I have just been generally 'pottering' round.  I did do some sewing in the morning.

While in the garden this afternoon I watched a crow chase a hawk.

The potatoes in my potato bags are starting to grow!

Bailey and Felix got to go out on the grass which they enjoyed.

Sprouts - ready to eat tomorrow I think.

I've put some butterflies on my new garden waste bin.

One seems to have made it's way onto the petrol cap on my car.

Wandering round the garden today I was absolutely stunned and shocked to see that in what I believe must have been the last couple of days (having not gone into the garden much in the weekend due to not feeling the best) that the side neighbours (beside my nice ones) have dumped literally loads of 'crap' , no other word to describe it really, against our top side boundary.

I am pretty sure I would have noticed this on Friday when I was trying to find sticks, wood and poles in the garden to use for my garden...when I found the bouys and netting etc... as I walked the whole boundary.  It was certainly the first thing I noticed when I went up there today.

It is piled up right against the fence...which admittedly isn't the best, and something we will be dealing with hopefully in the Autumn now...

There is rubble

Old cones, and what is worse... ASBESTOS!

Really not at all happy about that.  At the very least it should be double bagged, it is dangerous. We have had a family member die of mesothelioma.

There is cut vegetation etc...  piled several feet high against the tree with a TPO on it.

Another pile in front of it.

The mess really is astonishing.

I just can't get over the mentality of people.

Now I know that it is difficult to get rid of rubbish at the moment and I do appreciate that, and I can understand that it might not be possible to dispose of for that reason.  However, to have it pushed right up against the boundary fence AND have asbestos dumped there is not really good enough in my opinion and I am rather upset about it. What concerns me is also how high it is piled up, above our property and it could easily slip down onto our land.  Hopefully it won't.   Unfortunately the owners don't live in the house, so I suspect they have had workmen in, or a gardener or someone who has done this.  But whoever did it should know better.

Anyway that is my rant of the day over and done with.  I have posted the photos for my records, and I hope in due course they will deal with it properly.

  2. Love the butterflies on your bin :)
Sorry to hear about all that rubbish, I think you have a right to feel upset - I know I would be.
    Stay safe :) xx

  3. Oh my goodness what an eyesore - I do think you should report the asbestos though to the environmental health.

    1. It is awful isn't it?! I have reported it as no one seems to live in the house on a regular basis, people just seem to occasionally come and go, which is why I am guessing some kind of maintenance person or gardener has done it.
