Saturday Sewing

For some reason I didn't take any photos of my walk this morning.  Most unlike me... but perhaps I just didn't feel inspired too.  It was quite a short walk.

I again spent the day watching Netflix whilst hand sewing.  One of the things I watch was 'Out of Africa' which I really enjoyed. Such a classic!

I had started to make a 'Mr Socks' cat pattern the other day but then had put it aside as wasn't 'convinced' by it, but then I thought I might as well stuff it and sew it together.

Looks rather dumpy!

Eventually I finished.  His tummy and head were made from the velvet I had left over that I used for my wedding cape.  His body from an old shirt and his paws from an old skirt.

Mr Alfred Sox, is a rather portly fellow, which is the result of good food and laziness.

I then worked on the last two of the rag dolls I had ready to stuff and sew together.

I used wool I was given by a friend in NZ last year for the one of the left and wool roving I bought from a charity shop in NZ on the right.

Here they are now waiting on clothing.

The full line up of the last few days work.

  1. Looks like a fun project, I loved the cat and so nice to look and be reminded of previous projects/outfits. Take care and stay safe.
