Easter Monday.

Because I didn't go for my walk or do any gardening today (apart from watering the plants) I thought I hadn't achieved anything, or had rather a lazy day, but when I sat back and thought about what I had actually done I had in fact achieved a few things.  I washed some sheets, and put fresh clean sheets on both the beds - I alternate which bedroom I sleep in which is quite a luxury!    I spent some time sewing and made two little dresses and two pairs of shorts.  I am trying to make things that will eventually go in my Etsy shop when I reopen it.  I know some people are still posting things out but because I am in the At Risk group of people I am not visiting the post office or any shops.    In fact it was this receiving of my 'official' NHS letter that left me feeling a little subdued over the weekend, even though I knew it, somehow it feels different when you see it written in black and white,  that along with some other worrying news about family members.

I sat and read at intervals during the day on my seat watching the ships go by.

I hope this Condor Ferry is carrying cargo and not people!

I admired the flowers in the garden.  It is fun to see what is coming up and flowering

So all in all not a completely lazy day after all.

Oh and a couple of photos I forgot to post from my walk on 11th April:

Beautiful blue flowers in the front garden of a house I go past on my walk occasionally.

  1. At least getting the letter means you can access more help.

It is very easy to think you haven't done much when in fact you have been dashing around getting a heap of bits done!

    1. That is true, if I need it the help is there. So far I have been able to get a couple of online deliveries, and my neighbours have kindly got my shopping for me. Amazingly I actually feel pretty good, certainly the steroids have made a huge difference to me and perhaps the fresh clean air has also helped, but I do know how quickly that can all change, so I am certainly not going to take any unnecessary risks.

  2. The blue flowers are Dutch Iris - aren't they gorgeous? I have planted some bulbs in the garden and am hoping for just such a beautiful display next spring. Mxx

    1. Ah yes, that was the name I was looking for but couldn't remember! Thank you. They are gorgeous aren't they? I will have to eventually get some bulbs for here for hopefully next year.
