I had a slower start to the day and contemplated not going on a walk, but then remembered the pain in my feet if I don't so set off eventually, taking a slightly different route today.
I walked mainly across fields etc...
I walked to just before the '3' marker but stopped as it looked like it was going to go near a dwelling. I turned round and walked back.
Gorgeous pond.
Lovely rolling fields
Ha ha, look Dad, your favourite plant! Gorse - the bane of New Zealand farmer's life!
I walked 'down' the Cripple Path today, approaching it from the opposite direction.
Love the rock formations.
The rest of the day has been a bit 'lazy'. I've read... done a little sewing...and that is about it.
A nice walk.
ReplyDeleteReading and sewing is not being lazy!
That countryside looks very similar to New Zealand's - even down to the gorse! I see in some places now that they are letting it grow wild as it makes a good nursery plant for regenerating bush - my father would have been horrified! :) xx
ReplyDeleteAs you say, gorse is a real problem here but I do love the scent of the flowers.
ReplyDeleteoh yes gorse, I can't think who first introduced that here, wasn't a very intelligent thing to do aye
ReplyDeleteAnother great walk, stunning views. Stay safe.
