A new lens.

I have been rather spoiled by my husband as he has bought me a new lens for the camera.  This lens will mean I don't have to keep changing lens and as such will be better when travelling.  It is a Sigma 18 - 250mm F3.5-6.3 DC Macro OS lens and had a good review on Amazon.  I had seen it advertised in a Forest and Bird magazine of my Dad's.

I'm a bit disappointed the hood had a mark on it, but then I guess it is going to get marks on it through use anyway so I didn't bother worrying about sending it back for the sake of that.  I took a few quick experimental pictures this afternoon trying out its capabilities.

Laughing at this photo - looks like I caught Percy sticking his tongue out at the birds!

Rolling in something smelly!

Looking cute - something he is good at.

Now for a few flower shots.

Love the colour of this one!

Verdict so far, does what it says!  Looking forward to taking some bird photos tomorrow.
