Walking the Cliff Path

Saturday morning was wet and damp, but it soon dried up when the sun came out so I took advantage of the afternoon sunshine and went for a walk along the Cliff path this time.  Another photo heavy post I'm afraid so if you want to trawl through them, you might want to get yourself a cuppa first!  Hang on a minute I think I might take my own advise so I have a drink whilst I go through them...

I walked up the Cripple path that I went on the other day to get to the Cliff path...I stopped briefly to take in the view through the trees.

I decided to take the path across the fields to the neighbouring village.  No crops yet.

Approaching the village

Getting closer.

It is a lovely little village and one we contemplated when we were house hunting, but nothing suitable to our needs and wants became available.

I stopped in the local shop which is very well stocked, and bought myself a Mint Magnum.  It was very tasty!

I partly retraced my steps and then headed along the cliff path.

Such magnificent scenery.

I loved zooming in on some of the properties.  It was interesting seeing them from a different viewpoint.

This was looking down the cliff, but didn't really show the impression I wanted to give.

Waves crashing on the rocks.

Blossom on the hedgerows.

Yellow fungi, such a pretty colour.

More fields.

I didn't realise I had cut this off when I took the photo.

Can't quite see the light house...well I saw it, but didn't capture it on film.

I did manage to take a photo of this though in the far distance.

Carrying onwards...

More teasels.

A good couple of hours and I think I walked around 4 miles, but it was very hilly in places.

  2. Well (no pun intended) you do seem to be enjoying yourself very much indeed. It's good to see. I'm certainly seeing more of the Isle of Wight than I've ever seen before. But then it's a long way away and I've never been there so this is the next best thing. Enjoying the teasels too.

  4. I was wondering just how far you had walked. That's another great place to go walking. Have a good week.
