Journal 52 - Week 31, 32 & 33

The last three weeks journal pages for 'Journal 52' are:

For this I simply wet the page and then used water colours to make 'splodges' which I then turned into birds and other animals.

Week 32: Perspective

Week 33: Comfort Zone

I enjoyed this week - once thinking about it for a while this is what I came up with.

By stepping out of my comfort zone by joining in with this Journal 52 Challenge and trying things I would never have attempted before and 'showing' my work  I have learnt so much and had a lot of fun and will continue to do so.

Journal 52 - Week 30

Funny how one thing can lead to another....I was thinking that the prompt for last week 'Positive Change' was challenging in that I really didn't know whether I could actually 'do' Postive Change...that is until I finished this weeks prompt which was 'The Road Less Travelled'  This journal entry just happened, and it all poured out and I think it was positive indeed - so perhaps one thing led to another?

You can find the prompt  here:

This is what happened!

Journal 52 - Weeks 28 & 29

The prompt for Week 28 was 'Mail Art' and can be found here.

This was my take on it.  My attempts at 'tea staining' were well...pretty atrocious really!

The prompt from Week 29 was 'Postive Change' and can be found here.

This is mine....

Still working on this week's prompt.

Journal 52 - Week 24 & 26 & 27

I realised I had put the wrong prompt number on last weeks post which as actually prompt 25!  So here is Week 24, the prompt of which was 'Silly Animal Zoo'

The prompt for Week 26 was 'Elements' and below is my take on it.

Week 27 'Kindness'

Journal 52 - Week 25

This weeks prompt was 'Questions and Answers'

Here is my page, done quickly outside before the rain came pouring down!

Not all the questions ask show up in the photo...but those are questions I have often pondered....

Journal52 - Caught up! Weeks 15, 20 & 23

Still not entirely sure art journalling is for me, but I am going to continue doing this as it does take me out of my comfort zone, get me experimenting and thinking, - especially when it comes to writing something as in the page for week 20 'Good Advice'  which is advice to myself!

Week 15: Cards

Week 20: Good Advice

Journal 52: Weeks 12, 17, 18, 19, 21 & 22

A few more pages from my Journal 52

My intention with these pages is to not spend to long thinking about what to do, but rather doing...

Week 12:  Inspiration Board.

This is not what I originally intended, but seeing some feathers and leaves on the grass gave me the 'inspiration' for this week.

Journal 52: Weeks 8 - 11 & 13

I have been away for the last six weeks without internet access so my Journal 52 pages could only be posted now.  I wasn't able to do all of them as I could only use materials on hand.   The first week I only had a bare minimum of water colours and having not really done anything with this medium before my effort is well...not quite what I would have hoped for!  For subsequent weeks I used the acrylics I  bought locally.

Week 8:  Aromotherapy

Journal 52 Catch ups Week 2 & 3

My final two pages for my Journal 52 Catch Up.

Week 2:  Just Be

Prompt here...

Week 3:  Conversation Starters..

Taking a doll out and about with you and photographing it is always bound to start conversations...

Most of them interesting and stimulating...only the one comment that could be construed as negative, but one that I took in good jest and answered with the age of 8.

The prompt can be found here.

Journal 52 Catch ups Week 1, 4 & 5

As I didn't discover the Journal 52 Challenge until Week Six, I wanted to catch up with the previous five challenges.  So far I have done three.

Week 1: Pathways

You can read about the prompt here.

Week 4: Silhouettes

Prompt found here.

Week 5: Television

We don't have one, so I did my interpretation of things that I find inspiring.

Prompt found here.

So I have two prompts left to do.

Journal52 - Week 7: Valentines

" For this week’s prompt think of love being in the air: Valentines, Love Stories, Romance, Flowers, Chocolate, Hearts – whatever comes to mind!"

My husband knows how much I love yellow roses and so surprised me with a dozen yellow roses for Valentines Day.

For more interpretations of this prompt you can find them here.

Journal52 - Week 6: Windows

I have decided to join in with the Journal 52 Challenge.  I only discovered it the other day so I'm starting at Week 6: Windows, but hoping to catch up with the weeks I have missed as and when I can.

Most of my journal will be painting and drawing, but I might try other techniques as well, but mostly I want to further and broaden my art endeavours.

You can read about the Journal 52 Challenge here.

"For this week’s prompt, think windows of opportunity, the view from your window, beautiful stained glass windows, quotes about windows – whatever resonates the most with you. You can paint, doodle, draw, collage – or a combination of all of the above – whatever you are most comfortable with!"

I thought I would try something different today from my usual style and this is what I came up with.

I am looking forward to more of these challenges.
