Blue Monday - What a Walk!

A gorgeous blue sky today!  A very productive morning spent in the garden and then in the afternoon I went for a rather long walk - much further than I had originally intended - so this post will just be photos I took on my walk.  You might want to make a cuppa!

These almost look like a field of poppies, but they are not.

Down a narrow road

Signs to give a choice of which way to go

Further I wander down the Byway.

Looking across dry fields.

You can see how little rain we have had.  The only green in the fields are crops, not grass.

A foxglove growing wild.

Looking across at villages - this one is Wroxall

This one is Ventnor

A patchwork of fields and sky

You can see another beach in the distance here.

More signs, which way shall I go?

I didn't quite make it to this monument today as it was time to turn back, but next time I will pack a lunch and leave in the morning so I have more time to explore.

Shall I go this way?

Or this way?

Sheep grazing in the fields

Looking down on Whitwell

Some steps

A memorial seat

Just the place to leave one of my Kiwi rocks...off the more popular tracks I wonder who will find it?

Through a little grove of trees

A little oasis?

These fishing lakes were a surprise.

A family of geese

Two cute little goslings

Such elegance

I didn't go any nearer to them as I didn't want to disturb them.

More signposts showing the way.

A little sparrow

Cows in a field that I had to walk past.

Tiny ponies in another field

A horse and a donkey

Come on luv show us your smile!

So what do you think of that then?

A marbled white on my way home.

Throughout my walk there were an abundance of butterflies.  At once stage I was walking through what felt like a field of them as they all fluttered around me as I walked, it was amazing.
