Blue Sky Monday 1st June!

I got up really early this morning so I could spend some time in the garden before the heat of the day got into full swing.

I started on this corner of the garden where the stinging nettles were getting out of control

Much clearer now.  The green plants I have left aren't nettles or weeds!

I waited into after 9 am and then mowed this bank and also the orchard.  The grass was knee length!

The peas are starting to flower.

Some more photos of the Broad Bodied Chaser  I wish my camera would capture the blue of its body.

Yum yum!

I spent the rest of the day enjoying sitting out under my sun umbrella on the deck, reading, knitting, doing a bit of sewing.  It was just a really glorious day indeed.

After dinner I went for a lovely walk before I watered the garden.
