Saturday 1 September 2018

September has arrived.

It was a beautiful morning today, although there was definitely a nip in the air which gave a distinct Autumnal feel.

The birds are quieter in the mornings now and don't seem to be so active during the day either.

I took the dogs for their morning walk and then came home and cooked a nice breakfast for us

We were able to sit outside to eat it which was lovely.  In fact we have had all our meals outside today.  The wasps can be a bit pesky, we seem to have had a lot more this year.

I did some gardening and planted up some pots with pansies and violas.

I got some alpines and made a little alpine garden.  I have planted:
Isotoma: Fairy Carpet
Sempervivum: Mixed (x2)
Sedum: kamtschaticum Variegatum
Cotula: hispida
Saxfraga: Highlander Red
Dianthus: Adorables Tess
Aster: Aqua Compact

I have started to clear my little seating area, but it could really do with some colour.  My little Oak tree seems to have died sadly.

This is it colour wise in this little corner.

Today was a good day.

I've managed to largely ignore my pain during the day, although once I stop I start to feel it.
