Kidney Detox

I have been suffering from lower back pain and aching as well as shoulder pain and pins and needles for some time now.  As a sufferer of RSD/CRPS, pain isn't a stranger to me, but this is something new.

I have been to see someone today and he is sure my kidneys aren't functioning like they should and has recommended I embark on a lemon detox juice diet for a few days to kick start them into working properly again, as well as to up my daily dose of Magnesium for a month.  So I will see how it goes.

I have had my first 250 mls so far and it tasted good.

The ingredients are lemons, maple syrup and cayenne pepper.   It said to juice the lemons - well I juiced the whole lemon in my juicer - yes the whole lemon.

I am hopeful that this will help.   Will report back in a few days to measure the success.

  1. I just came by to see how you were doing and I find out you're not doing so well, which I'm sorry to hear. I do hope the lemon detox works. At least it's not unpleasant to drink. Sort of like lemonade. I'm sending positive thoughts your way. GM

  2. Hope it works :D Wouldn't drinking lots of water do the same thing? It does sound rather nice though

    1. Do you know, I have no idea, just doing what I am told ;-) but I think it is also to ward off hunger etc.... Will let you know the results!

  3. I echo the good luck comments. I start off every day with a couple of mugs of hot water and lemon and have done for many years.

    1. I wasn't sure about the pepper - but it actually tasted better with it in, than without.
