Friday 8th November

When I first awoke this morning it was with a promise of a really lovely day as there was a fabulous blue sky...but before very long a fog/mist had descended and it has been misty and damp all day which was a shame.  It always feels much colder when it is like this too.

After I dropped my daughter in law off to her ride for her weekend Hen party she has been invited to I took the dogs out for their walk.   I then had to go and get a bit of shopping, so by the time I got home it was lunch time and it seemed before long time for my hospital appointment.  It doesn't feel like I got much done today, but I guess that is just the way it is sometimes.

My appointment went well.  Because I have something pretty rare, there is a keen interest to follow up properly.  My steroid dose is reducing to 15 mg tomorrow for 2 weeks, then down to 10 mg for two weeks and then 5 mg for two weeks.  I'm continuing with the daily 5 mg Folic Acid.  I'll be having a repeat CT scan on 4th December and then will see him on 20th December for the results.  We are hoping to see there is a reduction (hopefully gone!) of the Sclerosing Mesenteritis/Mesenteric Panniculitis.  He is pleased with the positive response I have had on a whole since starting treatment as am I.  Long may it last!

I knitted my tiny rag doll a cardigan last night and made her some shoes and took her outside for a quick photo today in the better light.

I wanted a fairly neutral colour for the shoes...these are a light beige colour I would guess.  The light still isn't the best to show the colour properly, nor is the focus!

Well it is already dark outside and it is only just gone 4.30!

Time to start thinking about what to cook for dinner I guess.

Have a good weekend.

  1. I'm glad the appointment went well and that you're able to reduce the steroid dose over the next few weeks - that must feel like a step in the right direction. It's good that they are keeping a close eye on things and fingers crossed the results of the CT scan will be positive.

Have you christened the rag doll yet? xx
