Wednesday Walk

A mostly enjoyable walk yesterday, marred slightly by a group of not especially pleasant people who thought it would be fun to throw rocks in my direction as I walked past at a large distance.  You have to wonder what goes on in the minds of people like this....obviously not a lot if they think they are being funny at such childish behaviour.  (They weren't teenagers!)  May they get their comeuppance!

The sea was still and calm

Not a breath of wind in the air

The light reflecting on the water

Blossom on a conifer type bush.  I've never seen this sort of blossom before.

The highlight nature find today was seeing a Marbled White (Melanargia galathea) butterfly fluttering around.  Boy was it hard to capture on film!

Green teasels.

Cows resting

In the garden:

I mowed the oval and orchard today and did some more weeding, trimming and prunning.  The green waste bin is SOOOO heavy!  I climb into it after every load I put in and trample it down in order to fit in as much as possible.

I had to pick another load of gooseberries and also some raspberries, so another jam making session tomorrow morning.

  1. What rude people, one does wonder about their mental ability but I am glad you were okay. Those cows look so peaceful, they remind me of a drowsy summer's day (not like all the rain we have had today!).

    1. Yes you have to wonder.

The cows do look peaceful don't they? I like when they are resting well away from where I have to walk!

  2. Such a shame that your walk was marred by the stupidity of people. As always a beautiful walk.

  3. Beautiful pictures! I haven't eaten fresh gooseberries in a long time. I also miss gooseberry jam; it was a childhood treat eating it on top of a piece of bread with milk. :)

    1. Thank you for visiting. I love gooseberry jam, which is just as well as I have loads of it! It is delicious on fresh bread, and also with cheese. :)
