Day Three

I just knew I didn't like painting flowers...I had forgotten!

Today's prompt was 'Sunflower Fields'  and I bravely gave it a go, after listening to a couple of YouTube tutorials...although wondering if that was such a wise idea...perhaps I should have just attempted this before I watched anything as I ended up achieving a mess.  Very disappointed.  Not sure I am brave enough to show it today so have settled with a photo of a small sunflower that has come up in an unexpected place in the garden instead which was going to be my photo for today...

Instead this is my photo of today - a quick shot I took of Percy, our Chihuahua as he stared up at me.

Yesterday I picked up a couple of bags of wind fall apples and today I partially cooked some and stewed the others to put in the freezer for winter pies, crumbles and sauces.

My husband has been busy pruning all the hedges today and has been working hard while I peel, cut up and cooked the apples.

I was delighted to see some new rose flowers in the garden today.

Absolutely Fabulous.

Oh and another shot of the sunflower.

Tomorrow I have an appointment with the Vascular Surgeon - so it will interesting to see what he has to say and whether he will order any other tests - hoping so.  I am also hoping to get an appointment this week with the Rheumatologist. I have to phone tomorrow.

  3. Right. Now that I've caught up I can comment upon your change of header picture. I'm so glad that I have a copy of the wonderful Tui picture. At least your new header is again the embodiment of Kiwi Land.

    1. I think I am missing my Tui header already, but I needed a dose of blue skies and this photo I took at my Mum and Dad's provides just this. Glad you like your copy of the Tui.
