A new month! Welcomed in by a lovely sunrise.
Turned into a gorgeous day.
I opened the first little door of my bargain 10p Woolworths Advent Calendar.
Put out some Christmas plates and vases on my dresser.
A new Christmas themed dishcloth I knitted.
I spent a couple of hours in the garden after lunch cutting out the rest of the grape vines and chopping the branches up into tiny pieces to go in our garden waste collection bin. Hard work as there were another ten vines to cut out. There were more vines than I expected. There were probably about twenty vines in all.
Before...
After... the last ten vines removed.
I was accompanied by a lovely robin who sang to me while I worked.
All in all a really lovely start to the month.
You did well witht he vines. I love the robin.
ReplyDeleteI looked for an Advent calendar similar to yours but all I've been able to find are ones with chocolate behind the doors. Until last year the youngest grand still was opening the tiny doors but sadly he's now 11 and "too old for such".
ReplyDeleteLucky you - sunshine! We worked on an overcast grey day that spat at us just a very little. We had a Robin accompaniment too!
ReplyDeleteI do miss robins "helping" with the gardening.
ReplyDeleteYour second photo of the robin is perfect. I hope the rest of the month goes well for you :) xx
ReplyDeleteWe so love your robin. They are great gardening companions aren't they? Ours got so trusting it would take grubs from my partner's hand. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteLove the dishcloth design and a joy to see the robin watching you work. You certainly achieved a lot in the garden.
ReplyDeleteThat was good to read.
