A Saturday Stroll

Or rather hike!

The sun came out this afternoon, so I wanted to take advantage of it, despite it being rather blustery!

Just look at this view!  It could almost be New Zealand!

I decided to try a new walk today...aptly named Cripple Path!

It was fairly steep, although not too bad.

Just look at this!

What a great place to place a seat.

Perfect place to sit and watch the view a while.

I just loved this, and to think it is virtually on my doorstep is amazing.

The walk carried on up the cliff face.

To some fields.

Another seat was placed in the perfect position to admire the views.

You can see how wet it is from all the rain we have had.

Oooh tunnels!

Not quite what I was expecting, but still interesting.

I got caught in a brief shower of tiny hail stones on the way home, but it cleared up again.  One advantage of being so close to the cost is the weather changes quite quickly.

I do have to giggle at the step app on my phone...apparently I did 34 floors today.  It says I did 4.2 miles, but I am pretty sure it would have been close to 5 miles.

  1. Such lovely walks, and yes that coastline does look like New Zealand! I love the way they put seats along the walks, great for sitting and enjoying the view (or having a rest LOL).

  2. Assuming that the last tunnel was under a road it does seem a very expensive and 'over the top' solution for a pedestrian footpath. However the footpath does look a great place to walk.
