Green Woodpecker Spotted!


Difficult to see I know, but I saw my first Green Woodpecker yesterday hopping about on the grass in our back garden.  Hopefully I'll see him again and get a better shot.

Also we get Badgers frequenting our garden every evening as is evidenced by the digging that has been going on....I have still not managed to see any yet though!

    I love the common name of the Green woodpecker...Yaffle..just how it sounds

    They are an incredibly difficult bird to photograph in my experience.
