Down Under in Australia - 25th February: Sea World - Dolphin Show

About to see the Dolphin Show and Display

It really was quite amazing and the dolphin and their trainers certainly looked like they were having a really good time.

Lots of photos which show just some of the wonderful show we saw.

Young children got to stroke the dolphins.

The following morning we got to go to a special presentation held in the early morning before the park opened on how they train the dolphins.

One trainer will train all the dolphins one trick, this way they are all taught the same trick the same way.

They explained how they check the dolphins over to maintain their health.

Checking mouths and teeth.

  1. They are such beautiful creatures aren't they. I just can't watch them in captivity. We went to a place in Tenerife years and I had to leave, I just started bawling! Wus I know :D Fantastic photos x

    1. If I remember rightly, these are all animals that have been rescued for one reason or another which is why they are here. We were told about the dolphins history. They all looked very happy and healthy and yes whilst I too would prefer to see animals in the wild, I think these have a pretty good life.

    2. Yeah it was the same in Tenerife, they were ex naval dolphins, they would never survive back in the wild. One of dreams is to swim with dolphins and go whale watching, I could do both here :D
