Butterflies Galore!

I don't think I have ever seen so many butterflies in one place ever before.  Yesterday, while standing at the new garden office building we have been having built we saw what would be probably at least 50 if not 100 butterflies flying and landing on our fig tree and also on the sunflowers.  It was incredible and they were there again this morning.  What an amazing spectacle and a real delight.  I managed to capture some of them on film.  Rather a few butterfly photos coming!

On the sunflowers.

Beautiful Red Admirals.

A few flowers...

Loving this rose.

Cyclamen under the plum tree.

We have a lot of these growing wild in the garden, mostly in the orchard, but also round the bottom of a few trees, and along our bank.

An Afternoon at Mottistone Gardens.

We had a lovely Sunday afternoon at National Trust's Mottistone Manor Gardens.

I'll let the photos do the 'talking' while I wander around with the camera.

Love this cabin.  I have taken a photo of it before the last time we visited, but this time I forgot to take a photograph of the outside.

So I have 'borrowed' the photograph I took in 2016

We had a pleasant lunch outside in the gardens.

Beautiful yellows against the blue sky.

Mining bees.

A glimpse of the sea through the trees.

Lovely paths wandering through the gardens.

Gorgeous sweet peas.

My MIL and hubby.

The history behind Warrior is fascinating and amazing to read about his life.  What an amazing story and such a brave animal.

There are also some lovely walks which we will probably go on when the gardens themselves are closed.  It is such a beautiful place to visit.
