A Robin Study

I was up early this morning, the first time in ages, so cleaned out the guinea pigs and then started weeding the rose garden.  A sweet little Robin kept me company and chirped away to me and I took a few photos.

Love this shot of him/her looking up.

The roses need attention, so having a cuppa and then heading back out there to prune and tidy them up.

  1. As you can see from my icon here and my blog you will know that I love Robins, I have one who follows me around.

    1. Yes indeed! :) Something really special about Robins. I took a lovely photo a couple of years ago and have it on my wall at home, and my Mum has a copy in her room in the home she is in (Dad took it round to her for her birthday) and another English friend who lives in NZ also has a copy on her wall . They make good gardening companions.

  2. You got some amazing shots of the robin. As soon as I have a camera in my hand they disappear when I am trying to take a photograph.

    1. Our robins seem to be really friendly and as I was busy in the garden I think that was also a real attraction for him to hang around.

  3. Great pictures of the Robin.
It must not have been afraid of you to let you take that many.
Our Robins look ( and are) very different from yours but they are also quite brave and will bathe in the birdbath if we're not TOO close by.

  4. The robin is our piwakawaka (as shown in your fabulous header photo) and perhaps the cutest and friendliest of our birds. I admire your photography.

    1. Indeed, you are quite right and thank you so much Graham. I hope you are feeling better and getting back to normal if there is such a thing?!
