Cornwall Holiday 2016 - Glendurgan Garden

Sunday saw us heading down the road to Glendurgan Garden which is right next door to Trebah.  We have visited this garden before in 2013 and enjoyed it so much we decided to return to visit it again as it was so close to where we were staying, plus being a National Trust property was free to us as members.

It was good to see some Rhododendrons still flowering.

This property also has views down the valley to the water.

The maze

It seemed to be higher and more overgrown than three years ago.  I guess they trim it closer to the school holiday season.

School room

The beach front - Durgan Beach and Village

The 'boys' eating ice cream - with their ever present gadgets to hand.  I have to say it amazed me how they just couldn't be without them for even a few hours!

Even when they climbed the rocks they had their phones out and were looking at them...

Another lovely little robin serenading us.

Boat seat.

Lovely paths to meander along.

Pretty ponds.

Hubby doing the maze - he was in his element.

This amazing garden was first established in the 1820s by the Fox family and is exactly what they hoped it would be, a wonderful wild and beautiful garden.

  1. Another lovely place to visit. I really like the vibrant pink flowers in the third photo.
