I saw the most unusual spider (well actually there were quite a few of them) while in New Zealand.
Haven't been able to identify it yet - it wasn't in any of my Dad's books on spiders found in NZ.

After some research I believe this to be an Orbweaver, Cyclosa trilobata spider,
The appearance of the spider makes me feel frightened. I have not seen them before...
