A Kingfisher type of afternoon...

While sitting outside having a quiet drink one afternoon I noticed a kingfisher fly up with something in its beak...  I was quite some way from it, but managed to capture a few shots on film before it spotted something else in the long swampy grass and flew off again.

It looked like a katydid or bush cricket (Tettigoniidae)

Gone!

  1. I love kingfishers. I've just bought, or rather Joe has just bought me, a Sigma 150-500mm F5-6.3 mahoosive zoom lens. So some wildlife photography is in order I think. I will have to be a grown up and learn how to use my camera properly now :D
