So this was June!

So June is at an end, we are now half way through the year!

I thought I'd sum up my month...

The most miles walked in one day:  8.2 miles

Miles walked this month: 81.3 miles

My favourite walk was returning to the amazing beach along the Old Blackgang Road, although I returned via the NT land over fields and hills and wooded areas.

An exciting nature watch was the Sea Lion diving for food at one of the bays (during the above favourite walk!)

From the garden:  Discovering what is flowering and eating home grown vegetables every day.

My favourite creations this month were my shell and driftwood hanger and Bramble Brown Bear.

Goals achieved: I set up and opened my new Etsy shop 'Kiwi Wight Creations' for the bears and other creations I will make and I reopened my Doll Dressmaking Etsy Shop 'Muriel Makes' and made the first sale since the beginning of the year which is good.  Hopefully I will make more!

Started: A personal project which involves reading and art that I am quite excited about.

My trolley arrived, it was easy to assemble and is well made, being all metal, and I will spend the 1st July organising it.  Simple pleasures.

We had some pretty decent rain today so hopefully that has helped the garden and grass somewhat.  Unusual for me to say this, but we could have done with more, but at least we got some.

So all in all a pretty good month.

Weekend Summary

I've had a relatively quiet weekend, as I haven't been feeling the best... so haven't done any gardening, just pottered around, and went on a couple of gentle walks.

Yesterday afternoon I heard seagulls making a right old racket and suspecting they were trying to chase something away I had a look outside.  Sure enough there was heron in a tree that they were trying to dive bomb.

I enjoyed watching and taking a few photos before the heron eventually flew away.

The hollyhocks are starting to flower

On offer in the village were some Algave Americana plants.  I picked up one for myself yesterday and also two others which I dropped off on my way home to two other people.

A marbled white butterfly on my patio door.

I spent some time doing some more rock painting.

A quiet walk this afternoon, the morning spent listing things on eBay and Etsy.

The tide was out quite a long way and it was very windy.

I'd love to see photos of what Spindler's Folly looked like when it was first built. I have searched but not found any online as of yet.

I have renamed one of my Etsy Shops (and reopened it as it has been unused for several years) for the selling of my bears and other creations.

It is still a work in progress, and I have only listed three bears so far, although they are all available.
