Tuesday was my husband's birthday so we went to The Pearl near Brighstone for lunch.
It was a lovely day so we were able to enjoy eating our lunch outside.
The view from where we sat.
After lunch we decided to walk down to the beach so we could walk to Brighstone Beach.
At the beginning of the walk, after descending the steps.
The beach was empty, so we were able to let Stanley off.
How wonderful to have this beautiful beach all to ourselves"
He enjoyed the freedom, although doesn't generally go far from us.
Hurry up he seems to be saying...
Such a handsome dog.
The cliffs had eroded quite a bit.
Some strange concrete object in the sea...not sure if it had fallen down the cliff, having been part of a structure at some stage in the past.
Looking out to sea.
Poor dead crab.
We walked back to The Pearl along the top of the cliff, coastal path.
More of the cliff falling away.
A very lovely afternoon.
Belated Happy Birthday to your hubby. I assume he has now joined you there. Lovely photos but looks like a lot of erosion.
ReplyDeleteHe is still not here full time, but is here more than he was :) Yes a lot of erosion. I need to re-walk some of my regularly walked tracks in 2020/21 and see how much they are eroded...
