We've just come back from a lovely week on the Isle of Wight. Lots of walking was done - pleased to report my feet coped quite well and my new walking boots I got just before going to NZ in February really have made a huge difference.
We left very early on Saturday morning to beat the M25 traffic, and had a smooth trip down to the ferry and over the water to the island. We drove over to Newtown and spent a lovely hour or so just soaking up the early morning sunshine and scenery in the peace and quiet.
We had a lovely walk with the dogs.
We then drove over towards the West side of the island.
Just got to love this amazing view. It is one you could never tire of.
We thought we would explore some areas we hadn't been before this time and so ended up at Totland Bay
The water was just so beautifully clear!
Glistening in the sunshine.
We decided it would be nice to bring our son and daughter in law over here the following day.
We walked both ways along the water front and admired these colourful beach huts.
An old pill box look out.
Not sure what happened to the rest of the photos, they must be either on my phone, or I didn't take any as was just enjoying our time together.
I love to see the colourful beach huts, they are such fun.
ReplyDeleteThey are such fun. I'd never seen beach huts before I came to England to live.
DeleteAs I've said before on your posts, I have never been to the Isle of Wight so it's good to see somewhere new through your lens.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are enjoying them.
