Well my thoughts of blogging regularly this month haven't gone beyond thoughts obviously! Can't believe we are almost at the end of November!
Yesterday on my walk I saw a couple of butterflies which seems incredible for this time of year. Most days I see either Jays, or red squirrels, sometimes a fox on my early morning walks with the dogs.
I had a week back in Hertfordshire so I could have some more blood tests. They got one of them wrong - even though I told the nurse how it should be done she didn't listen to me. I then got a call later in the afternoon saying it was done wrong and could I come back in the following day. I did, but that result hasn't come in yet, which gives me cause for concern that it still wasn't done correctly, and that was the most important one as it was the one that was too high back in September. So frustrating! I am hoping it is just delayed for some reason. I will call on Monday if I still haven't heard the result.
I had to mow the lawn Thursday. I was going to do some more on Friday morning as I only managed to get a fraction of the back done before the batteries ran down, but of course it was wet again. Most of the deciduous trees have now lost their leaves so it looks a bit more open in the back garden now. But fortunately there are quite a few evergreens as well.
A couple of weeks ago we had the shingled area of our driveway concreted so it will be much easier to turn round and park at the edge now which is good. Slowly things are getting done. Above and the first photo below are the before photos.

So much better now. It has since dried to a lighter colour, these photos were taken just after they finished.
A little Goldfinch warming itself on the deck on Thursday.
Sun streaming down through the clouds on the horizon.
A rainbow.
Sunrise.
We had the base for a new shed laid last month and Friday the shed was assembled.
Unfortunately it is still damp inside. It was a shame it wasn't assembled on Thursday when it was a lovely dry day. It will be a while before I can store stuff in it.
Camouflaged nicely.
Looking out the window of bedroom four yesterday I spied a Jay up in the plum tree.
I had to zoom in a fair bit, and the photo was taken through the window so not the best.
This is the time of year I normally do more indoor crafts, knitting and sewing, but still haven't really found my mojo. I have knitted a couple of new dish cloths though.
Someone has been busy painting rocks and leaving them along our road.
This one was on my front bank, so I brought it home as it was so pretty.
I then discovered the rest as I walked further down the road and took photos of them.
Gorgeous!
After the week away I came back to my orchid flowering. This orchid stalk and flowers has grown from nothing. I wasn't sure if it would ever flower again, so thrilled it has.
My Christmas Cacti are in bloom - even more now than the beginning of last week.

Time for the winter themed duvet cover.
